Recruitment Macro

Macros aren't that terribly hard to write after you get your head round how to use the clunky interface.

There's a litte computer icon at the bottom of the screen to the right of your action bar. 

Click on it.

That will bring up a menu.

Select Macros.

That will bring up a seriously confusing screen. There's a tab at the top of that screen related to your character's specific macros. Select that tab.

Click New at the bottom to start off.

You'll be asked to select an icon. Pick til your little heart is content.

Name the macro (Might I suggest Recruiting?) and hit okay.

Into the text box type

/1 And the text you want to say here.

A few different guildies wanted to be able to cut and paste what I say in my recruitment macro, so here goes:

Do you love your Library? Join our Guild to help folks out, have a good time, and enjoy a game instead of being treated like an employee! We have a tabard and a full bank  with reasonable withdrawal policies.  Send a tell for an invitation.

/1 Makes the text go to the general chat section of whatever zone you're in. Make sure you don't spam folks by doing this too often. I recruit when I'm in flight someplace, or if I'm doing a bunch of auctioning. I tell time by my Beer Drinking Hat or Hearthstone to ensure that I'm not clogging things up.
