Sometimes virtual life immitates real life.

In the spring of 2008 at the Cape Cod and Islands Library Association meeting Conàn attended a stellar workshop on gaming and Libraries. Curious as ever, she discussed the idea of forming a Librarian's Guild after the presenter displayed a heavy interest in World of Warcraft. We *could* have run everything through the proper channels and had a subcommittee formed (I didn't hear a harrumph out of that guy!!!) but it was so much cooler to just do it!

So, one fine Saturday morning in late May, The Librarian was formed. In a matter of days, thanks in main part to the generousity of Gwin, and the profits from auction proceeds from Guild Materials, we had multiple Guild Vault tabs. By 7 June, we were celebrating 50 Members. By 7 July, we had 113. On 28 August, Conàn got the Master's Key, and we had 183 members. On 28th October, we ventured into Karazhan as a full guild raiding party and downed Attumen the Huntsman. We enjoy a full range of levels and professions.

Just like in real life, The Librarian is all about community, sharing, learning, and fun!
