Suppose you want a run through from the Guild. Usually, this isn't a problem. As we grow, there will be more an more players, making it more likely that someone will be on to either help you run or just take you through an instance. If someone of substantially higher level offers you a run through, there are a lot of things you can do to make it work smoothly. Don't ask for a run and then go Away From Keyboard when someone takes you up on it. They're doing you a favour, remember? Have your related missions done before you request a run through, or if you need help getting these, ask for a run and a quest at the same time. Not only will you get more experience this way, and possibly better gear, but you also won't have to ask for multiple favours. Don't request a runthrough repeatedly. Nagging other players is just no fun all around. In general, higher level players will pass on all loot. If they don't, it might be that they'll return materials and items from that instance to the guild bank later. It's also possible that they're strapped for cash. Don't hit the Dice Icon for Need if your Character can't use the item, or if the item makes better sense for another Party Member. For example, don't need the Aegis of the Scarlet Commander if you're not a Warrior. You might want an item that you aren't high enough level to use yet, too. If that's the case and no other character can ever use it, then feel free to need it. You can never go wrong in asking after a need before pressing that button. Runs work much better when equal level characters team together. You'll get more experience and learn more about the game that way. Don't get hung up on needing a given character type. You might not even need a tank or a healer - you don't know for sure until you try. Dying doesn't take that much of a toll on you in World of Warcraft. That said, nothing works better than having a diverse full party. Certain instances - like Blackrock Depths - are intense and all but demand just that. Once you're in, stay in. The last thing a party needs is someone bailing on the dungeon part way through. If the feeling is mutual, go your separate ways. Folks get stuck from time to time. But if you find yourself bailing on a lot of dungeons, the problem might not be the party you're with. If a high level character is doing you a favour, LISTEN TO DIRECTIONS. Aggroing mobs, looting before it's safe, and grabbing everything in sight will only irritate your host. Have fun, but make sure it's fun for all.
